Jamie Buckley was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 17, 1970. Jamie and his older brother were raised in Pasco, Washington - an average sized city surrounded by lush farmland. Upon graduation from Pasco Senior High School in 1988, Jamie joined the United States Army. After 3 years of service and a combat tour in Iraq, Jamie was honorably discharged.

Jamie returned home and spent the next 5 years as a Deputy Sheriff and then a 9-1-1 Emergency Dispatcher. It was during this time that Jamie really learned that he could sing. He played local gigs all throughout the Columbia Basin. Sometimes he got paid and sometimes he didn't. But he knew that he loved what he was doing. In the summer of '96, Jamie was invited to be the opening act for Country Recording Artist, Clay Walker and he felt change was coming. His performance was a smashing success. This was the show that made Jamie say, "This is what I want to do for a living."

At this turning point, Jamie realized he'd reached his potential in Eastern Washington. While eternally grateful to those fans, he needed a chance to reach bigger audiences. So, Jamie and his family came up with the unusual solution of re-enlisting in the Army. This gave Jamie a reliable job to provide for his family and relocate him in Central Texas (now that's COUNTRY!). Since that time, Jamie has performed all over the United States, Korea and even in Cuba.

Jamie continues to proudly serve in the Army where he is assigned to the U.S. Army's Recruiting Command (USAREC). Entering his sixteenth year on Active Duty, he is featured in a program called, "The U.S. Army Recruiting Entertainment Team featuring SFC Jamie Buckley" where he performs country music in support of the Army's recruiting mission. Jamie performs everywhere from high schools to large country music festivals all across America. He has recently performed at venues with the likes of Toby Keith, Big & Rich, Jason Aldean and Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Brooks & Dunn and Blake Shelton., Montgomery Gentry, and Darryl Worley. In 2010, he's scheduled for shows in the same line-ups as country superstars, Toby Keith again, Eric Church, Chris Young, and Keith Urban!!!

For his smaller shows Jamie uses a tracked/acoustic format. But for larger shows, he is backed by a 10-piece band from Nashville. Thanks to USAREC and Jamie teaming up, a brand new album containing 11 original songs is currenlty being done. This new album titled, Soldier, Singer, Songwriter will be given away at to fans at his shows. It is scheduled for release in March or April of 2010!

Jamie has independently released four albums. His first was recorded in Brentwood, TN in December of 1996. Appropriately titled, "On My Way", it contained five original songs. Next came his album titled, "There You Are" in January of 2002. Jamie was flown to Nashville from Korea to start the project and continued after Jamie was reassigned to Ft. Knox, Kentucky. That CD was released in July of 2003. "There You Are" contains 11 original recordings and 5 songs written by Jamie. His third album, "Rich As Can Be" was released in 2007. This latest work also features 11 songs, with 6 songs written by Jamie. Both of these albums were recorded in Hendersonville, TN. Neither one would have been possible without the help of Wayne Palmer and Walt Whittenburg. Jamie is eternally grateful to them, not only for providing the means and support to get his voice out on these CD's, but also for the amazing songs they wrote for both albums and entrusted to Jamie and his voice. His most recent album, "Soldier, SInger, Songwriter" was also recorded in Hendersonville, TN and will contain 5 songs that Jamie wrote, 1 that he co-wrote, and 5 other songs that were written by some very talented songwriters out of Nashville. There is even accapella version of Jamie singing The National Anthem.

Jamie has faith that God has put him on this path for a reason. Those who have heard Jamie's heartfelt songs and voice know that something special is in store for him. If you think you can help Jamie achieve his dream of recording in Nashville for a major label, please contact Jamie. Every bit of exposure helps!
